Bermuda Elf

Hi guys

Here's my latest KOTD! I used China Glaze - Bermuda Breakaway as a base color and stamped with China Glaze - Millenium. Those are probably my 2 most favorite polishes from China Glaze! The combination of the two colors is a win too! I used fauxnad plate B20 for the elf design on my ring fingers and konad plate m64 for the full nail flower design on the other fingers!

Very simple, but pretty I think! Thats the way I like it!

Catrice swatches PART 2

Here is the second part of my Catrice swatches (finally!). My nails are very short at the moment because of my summer job. I'll take more care of them when I finish, I promise!

Lucky in Lilac - a lilac creme

Londen's Weather Forecast - a dark grey - leaning towards blue - creme with a subtle shimmer.

Just Married - a sheer pink with shimmer (3 coats on photograph)

From Dusk to Dawn - a taupe (supposed to be a dupe for Particuliere from Chanel)

Clayton-My-Hero - a muddy gold with a subtle shimmer

And last but not least,

Sold Out Forever - a mint with subtle shimmer (dupe for Chanels Jade)

I'm planning on getting some other Catrice's too, so there will be a part 3 someday!

Have a nice day and thanks for stopping by

Happily Ever After

Hi guys,

Sorry I've been absent for a few days, I just started my summer job and I don't have much time left when I get home. I have a free day today so I wanted to share one of my favorite polishes from Orly with you guys. Happily Ever After is a part of their Once Upon a Time Collection from fall 2009. It's a pretty berry color with a very subtle shimmer. The shimmer is absolutly amazing when you see the polish in the bottle. Unfortunatly the shimmer doesn't show up very much on the nails. When seen in direct sunlight the gorgeousness appears, but even though its summer, there's not much sunlight these days. But I think the polish still looks great so here it is:

Here's a close up picture from the shimmer shown in the bottle:

Pretty isn't it?

Oh and I just placed a Models Own order! My first Models Own polishes are on their way, so you can expect a review when I get them (hopefully soon). They are having a 50% sale (code: FACEBOOK50), so if you haven't ordered yet, you still have time until friday! You better go and profit from this wonderful sale, you may regret it if you don't!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Ink

Hi guys

Today I have a OPI polish to show you. Ink is probably one of the most beautiful polishes in my collection. It's a blurple base with the most beautiful purple shimmer ever. It came out a few years ago as a part of the Night Brights collection of OPI, but I only got it recently because I wasn't that into nail polish when it came out.

Check out the fantastic shimmer! I'm in love!

Flowers & Butterfly Konad

Hi guys

I'm showing you guys my recent mani. I started of with a white base. I used the FCC white polish I got on my trip in Ethiopia. I really like this polish because it's very opaque for a white polish. Normally it could get away with two coats, but because I wasn't very careful, I used three coats for this mani.

After a day or so I got a little bored with my nails so I decided to spice them up a little. I used a full nail design from Konad's m73 plate. This design is really one of my favorites, I think it's really pretty. For my ring finger I used a butterfly design from Konad plate m25. I thought the two design went well together. I used Wet n Wilds Black Creme for stamping.

I'm pretty happy with the result. What do you guys think?

Bright Blue

Hi guys!

I want to show you guys a polish from my Ethiopian Haul today. It's the bright blue one from a brand called J.M.E. Well, I suppose that's the name because thats graved in the cap of the bottle, the bottle doesn't really have a label. The polish doesn't haven't a name either, just a sticker on the bottom with the numer 28.

I'm just going to show you how it looks like on me.

It's a very bright blue, I would almost say neon. It has in some sort of way a frost finish, which I don't like, at all. When I swatched the polish the first time, on one finger I kinda liked it. But I don't like it now that I have it as a full mani. I don't really know why. Sometimes you just don't like a polish for no special reason, you know what I mean? I think it could be a dupe for Frostbite from China Glaze, but I don't own that one so I'm not sure. And I think Frostbite has shimmer.

Another downside of this polish is the brush. It's not straight, which makes it very hard to get a clean mani. I tried to take a picture of it, but you can't really see it on the photo. Guess it's not that big of a deal since the polish cost me about 0,40 Euro, is it?

Emerald en golden stars

Hi guys,

I was a little bored today and wanted to do my nails. I really love my Emerald Sparkle manicure, so I didn't want to change that. So I decided to refresh them a little with some Konad! I started with stamping the half of a fullnail design from Konad plate m65. I used Hi-Tek from China Glaze to stamp with.

I liked the result, but the open space was bothering me. So I looked at my plates and thought it would look good to ad a star in the other half. This was a design from a fauxnad plate b09. This is the final result:

I'm pretty pleased with the result. I'm still no artist when it comes to stamping, so the designs are still a little messy, my apologies. What do you guys think?

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day,

Emerald Beauty

Hi everyone,

I've got another green to show you today, Emerald Sparkle from China Glaze. I hesitated a long time before finally getting this polish. It didn't attract me when I swatches of it. But the last time I ordered nail polish, I had one open spot for another polish (yeah I know, I still don't understand how that could be) so I looked at my 'maybe-list' and choose this one. I was really suprised when I tried this polish for the first time, I was instantly in love!

Application was great, opaque in two coats. This polish is suprisingly very pigmented! So another bonus point!

I can't believe I didn't get this one sooner?! This will definitely be my favorite polish to wear during the Christmas holidays! Unless China Glaze and other brands come up with other beautiful holiday collections.. what they'll probably do..

Spring Green

Hi guys,

Today I have Spring Green from Sally Hansen (Insta-Dri) for you! I got this one in a recent swap from a lovely girl in the US. I've been searching a while now for a beautiful light green creme & I think I've finally found it! I really like this fresh, summery color. Lately it seems that summer is far gone because its has been raining several days now, but luckly this polish brings a little summer back.

Application was fine, didn't experience any problems. I can imagine that the Insta-Dri polishes from Sally Hanson can frustrate some people. The brush is very wide but I had no problems with that because my nailbeds are not that small.

My nails are very short right now, I had to file them to nubbins after my trip because they were in a really bad shape. Lets hope they'll grow fast.. :(

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day!

Vacation Haul

Hi guys, I'm back!

I had a great vacation, spend wonderful time with my family. I'm happy to be back, but also really sad because I'll go back in two years so I'll have to miss most of my family until then. :(

My nails are in a really bad shape right now, I haven't had the time to file and take care of them while I was away, so most of them broke off. I just filed them all short and I will have to wait until they get strong again.

Nail polish is really cheap in Ethiopia (7 birr for one polish, so thats about 0,40 euro or 0,52 dollar), so off course I went on a nail polish hunt. The quality isn't very good, (I don't expect anything more for that kind of money), the formula is a bit on the thick side, but nothing a little thinner can't fix. I presume none of them are B3F.

I'll just show you what I've got! I haven't had the time to make full swatches of everything, so I just swatched everything quickly on 1 finger. I'll be wearing the polishes the coming days so I'll post my NOTDs later!

Here are picture of everything together. I didn't buy very much because the range of colors was very limited.

I also found some nail art pens, unfortunatly they only had black & white and one yellow. After testing these I will probably order some other online if I like them!

Here are the quick swatches of the polishes.

First up are the "True Lover" polishes, they don't have a name, just numbers.

A shimmery - for me - nude polish.

A bloody red creme.

A shimmery gold.

Next up are "F.C.C. Nail Polish" polishes, they also don't have a name.

This is a white creme from FCC Nail Polish. Its opaque in 2 coats, so I wanted to get a back up bottle. I couldn't find the same bottle, but then I stumbled upon a white polish, in a different bottle, but from the same brand.

A bordeaux creme.

"Nail Lexus" polishes, also without names.

A bright red creme.

A bloody dark red creme.

A shimmery pink.

"M Nail Polish" (same brand, different bottles?)

A beautiful blurple. This one is my favorite.

A purple with little silver glitters.

And at last two brands from which I got one of each.

A bright blue, almost neon nail polish.

A mix of purple & silver mini glitters. I thought this one would be great for layering so I layered it over the blurple one from M Nail Polish. This is the result:

Hell I was right! I LOVE this combination!

So thats all folks! Hope you enjoyed to see these polishes!
