Sinful Colors - Cloud 9

Hi guys!

So its been VERY hot the past week, thats why there haven't been many posts. I've been too lazy to do my nails, lol. I have had some good news today, I heard that I passed all my exams this year! So three months of vacation for me! :)

Today I have Cloud 9 from Sinful Colors for you. I got this in a swap and was dissapointed at first because it's so sheer, but after 3 coats I thought it was beautiful. It actuallly is a shimmer, but for some reason it looks like a creme on my pictures. Application was fine, not streaky.

I also did a konad over it but I forgot to take a picture and by now my nail polish has started shipping so I won't put you guys through that!

Have a very nice day and thanks for stopping by!

Holo-time!

Hi everyone!

I picked up Gosh - Holographic today. Since we are having a lot of sun these days in Belgium, I had to try this one out immediatly! This polish is AMAZING. Definitly the best holo I own!

The downside of this polish is that the application is a pain in the ass! When I applied the second coat the brush pulled away the first coat so some nails needed three coats. I applied the polish without base and top coat. Base coat made the application worse and top coat minimalized the holographic effect.

But lets look at the stunning photos now!

This picture was taken inside, so not in direct sunlight. As you can see, the holographic effect isn't noticable.

Now these pictures show the holographic effect PERFECTLY! I tried to capture the holo in different angles, so just have a look.

This polish is perfect for summer days like this with a lot of sun. I'm really amazed about this polish. I can't understand how polish can create this effect. I'm definitly in loooooooooove.

Do any of you have this polish? What are your favorite holos?

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Catrice swatches PART 1

Hi!

Here are the first 4 Catrices that I've swatched for you guys!

First one is I Sea You. A gorgeous green creme. I used two coats, although one would have been enough.

It has some resemblance with Jade Is the New Black from OPI, but they are not dupes. Here's a comparison from a nail wheel. On the left I sea you! and on the right Jitnb.

Next one is It Blue My Mind. It's a blue shimmer. Normally I'm not into shimmers, but I wanted to try this one out because it looked very pretty in the bottle. Now I'm really glad I got it!

This one is Plum Play With Me. A plum creme. Not that special, but I don't have any other plums so it was a nice addition to my collection!

The last one for today is I Scream Peach!. This is a beautiful peachy creme. I absolutly looove this one, finally a peach that doesn't clash with my skintone! It's supposed to be a dupe for Chanels Orange Fizz, but I don't own that one so I can't give a comparison.

So that was it for today! Do you have any catrices? And whats your favorite one?

Thanks for stopping by,
Christina.

Revvolution!

Hi everyone!

Today I want to show you Color Clubs Revvolution. It's a gorgeous dark charcoal holographic color. It applied very well, but I didn't expect anything other from Color Club.

I made some photos in the sun to capture the holo. Just look!

If you don't have this one yet, GO AND GET IT!

Thanks for stopping by,

Hong Kong Collection

Hi everyone!

Today I'm showing you some pics of my polishes from the Hong Kong Collection from OPI. I know it's a little late but hey, better late than never!

I only got three colors because I wasn't interested int the entire collection.

This is Chop Sticking to My Story. I don't really know how to describe the color. It's orange caramel brownish, depending from the lightning. Opaque in just one coat! Lovely creme!

This one is the famous Jade Is The New Black. My favorite green and probably my favorite polish from OPI! I really like this color. Beautiful dusty green creme! Great application, opaque in two coats!

And as last Suzi Says Feng Shui. I was really excited about this color when I saw the promo-pics. But when it's on my nails I don't really like it that much. It looks good on everyone else, except me. Maybe I'll have to get used to it and it'll get prettier with time! Also great application, needed two coats.

So do you have any polishes from the Hong Kong Collection? Whats your favorite? Any others that I don't have to recommend?

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day,
Christina

Hi guys!

So I had an exam today, and I think it went pretty well so here's another NOTD for you!

Today I'm wearing Recycle by China Glaze. This is the first China Glaze polish I bought and it was also part of the beginning of my polish addiction. So this polish is special to me, it made me fall in love with nail polish & China Glaze in particular. Its a mid-toned gray creme from the Ecollection spring 2008.

Application was fine for me, opaque in two coats. What I love about this polish is that its an universal color and I can wear it with almost all my clothes. So do you like grays or do you think its a boring safe color?

Now back to studying for my next exam!

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day!

Pretty Edgy & Konad

Hi everyone!

Today I have a polish from the summer 2010 Essie collection to show you: Pretty Edgy. I was really excited for this color since I'm a sucker for greens and since its not a typical shade to expect from Essie!

I had a hard time capturing the green color on camera, it isn't this dark in irl. (my current camera really sucks, but I'm getting a new one for my birtday in July! Yay!) It's hard to describe what kind of green it is. It absolutly isn't a dupe for Jade is The New Black, which is more blue-based & darker, this one is more yellow-based & brighter.

As much as I like the color, I didn't really like the formula of this one. It was streaky and needed 3 coats. This came as a suprise to me since I've read from other bloggers that they really like the formula (in contrary to the Resort Collection from Essie). Maybe I got a bad one or maybe I wasn't carefully enough, I don't know. But in the end it doesn't matter cause it's so gorgeous! I REALLY recommend this color to everyone who's into green polish.

After a few days I wanted do to something with my nails, but I didn't want to take of Pretty edgy, so I added some konad roses! I used plate m65 and stamped with Wet n Wild - Black creme. I'm still working on my konad-skills so sorry that it doesn't look that great. :D

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

Holo-ishious!

The sun decided to come out today, finally!
I thought it was the perfect day to get some photos in the sun of Color Club - Wild At Heart.
I absolutely LOVE this color!
This is my first holo and I can't wait to get my hands on some more!

First a photo that was taken inside, as you can see (or not): no holo.

This one on the other hand, shows it perfectly! Isn't it beautiful?!

This is a one-coater! Application did go perfect! I'm really pleased about this polish. Revvolution seems to be a great holo too from what I've seen, so I am excited to try that one too! Hopefully the sun will stick around long enough to get some pictures of that one as well..

So thats all for now, I have to get back to studying! :-(

Thanks for stopping by!

First post!

Hi everyone,
I decided I'm going to give blogging a try.. I'll post swatches of my NOTDS and tell you guys some more about the polishes.

Here's a polish to start with: Sinful Colors - Secret Admirer.

I got this one in a swap package and absolutely love it! There was a period that I was really into black, but the last few years I let them aside. Until I got this one, it is absolutly a favorite of mine!
Application was great! One coat was fine, but because I'm used to applying 2 coats, I used two for this as well.

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day!
